Registry Details

We bought a cute safari crib set at JC Penneys and added some matching bedding items to the registry while we were there. So, now there should definitely be some in-store items on the JC Penneys registry. Here is a picture of the crib set - it's really cute (picture is off the packaging - not our nursery).

But if you can't find stuff on the registry in the store, just remember that our theme is safari/jungle animal babies - colors are yellow and green. We haven't registered for any clothes. We are just expecting people to buy clothes for us. After we find out the sex (in a little over a week), we might add some more items to the registry.

More details of the registry are below (on March 18, 2009). The baby's due date is Aug. 14 (in case you need that to look up the registry online).

Feelin' It

Kathleen's just started feeling the baby! She says it feels like a little fluttering in her stomach.

Chillin' Out

This picture is a few weeks old - but it's a cool one! You can see baby's leg's crossed - just hanging out. Which is different than most of the ultrasounds that we had - baby was moving all around and wouldn't stay still.

Registries

We've been working on two baby registries at:
Target (www.target.com) and
JC Penney (www.jcpenney.com).

They're still works-in-progress because we're waiting to add some things after we find out the sex of the baby. We've also been adding/changing things every few days, but these should at least help out people who want to see what we need. It seems that many of the items that we're registered for are only available online, so it may be easier for you to just buy stuff online. FYI... I think you can just use an Amazon account to log onto and buy stuff at Target.com.

We've decided on a Baby Jungle Animals theme for the nursery. The nursery is painted yellow... so if you'd like to buy sheets, blankets, or other stuff for the nursery, green and yellow colors would be nice.

Here is a list of things that friends and neighbors have given to us or that we've already bought. In other words, here are things that we do not need:

We, of course, would also appreciate any hand-me-downs that anyone doesn't need anymore.

We had a nice dinner tonight at Bridgeworks. It'll be great next year when we can take the baby to St. Patrick's Day dinner with us!

The Tour of Pregnant Kathleen 2009

Just wanted to let everyone know that pregnant Kathleen will be making appearances in Parkersburg, WV on Easter weekend (April 10-12) and in Delaware the weekend of May 2nd. We'll be working out the details later and will be sure to try to see as many friends and family as we can!

Our other baby

Well, there's not much news about the baby right now. Just waiting - which is starting to drive Kathleen nuts.

So, we thought that we would write a little about our other baby - the dog. We've been telling Betsy that she's going to have a new brother or sister. We tell her "someone is coming". That gets her really excited. I'm sure she'll get along well with the baby - she loves people. She'll be sure to let us know when the baby is crying - probably before we even hear the baby stirring. The only trouble we may have is teaching her which toys are hers and which toys are the baby's.
