Kathleen had a great time at the Smith shower on Saturday! It was Kathleen's second baby shower. It was a joint effort between Phil's mom and Phil's cousin Coleen. And it resulted in a great, and rather loud, party - complete with a lot of cackling (a unique type of Smith scream/laughing - thanks Aunt Linda). It was Owen's first experience of a Smith party - I'm sure he could hear it all in there. So, he'll be ready for his first Christmas party this year. The only other little one at the shower (1-year old Abby) really seemed to enjoy at the pandemonium - really got her laughing.
The shower culminated in a collapsing swing set - followed by some more cackling. Luckily, no one was hurt, but Coleen was quick to blame her husband Fred Sanford for the broken swing set. I'll post a picture of the unfortunate crashing swing set later when I have it.
But anyways, thanks to everyone for the gifts! We got a lot of the baby gear that we really needed!
